I saw Damascus Cover at the 2350 showing. A decent film, like a medium quality airport thriller you read on vacation even if you have an idea of the outcome. The staff are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The seating has been improved with improved comfort. It is my favourite cinema for late night cinema. A rare treat but let's you enjoy the film. Bright Wall Dark Room is the best description of a movie theatre.
Showcase is a regular cinema with the usual cinema affair and prices. There isn't as much salt on the salty popcorn as other cinemas and the sweet popcorn isn't that sweet either. One positive regarding the snack selection is a Ben & Jerry's ice-cream selection. The seats in the screen are in need of replacement, they were when I visited a couple of year ago and still do now. The back of the chair offers little resistance and there is little room between the rows to allow people to pass. I don't believe this is an IMAX cinema.

I've been coming here for 5 years and i have no complaints at all. All of the staff are kind and helpful and the screening rooms are always clean. There is also a range in the sizes of the screening room, essentially some screens are extremely large an seat over 200 and some much smaller seating around 60. No complaints! Highly recommend
Really good set of screens. Clean, good sound and not too many adverts on the film we went to see (Pixar so might be fewer ads). Car parking was a little challenging on on Saturday afternoon but possible. The co-location of the restaurants is good and the city centre is close by as is the A66 making access easy.

My local theatre - always a lovely experience! However advertising coming events not always sufficient. Should not only rely on pfomoting online. Theatre Club afterwards is always a friendly and congenial place to meet. And no loud music!!
It's a nice clean venue but the air conditioning was non existent. It got very very hot in the theatre area and the bar. There was not enough staff at the bar during the interval and by the time we got served the interval was just about over. We did have a good night watching a bon jovi tribute act, it's just a shame that the small things let it down.

Must say a well done to the upgrade to the town hall. Watched Status Quo, sound was fab and the staff at bars and security were very attentive. Prices at the bar very reasonable. Hope the locals support this venue would love to see Quo again there
I was there watching Status Quo on 21st July. The place looks great after a recent refurbishment. Seats are not too cramped and there's a bit if spare legroom. It was quite hot in there on one of the warmest days of the year so maybe they could do with some air conditioning.
